1. What we delete
When an Instagram account is removed from EngageFlow AI, we delete:
- the stored connection to that Instagram account, including its access tokens;
- Instagram-derived content in your analytics: commenter usernames, comment and message text, and Meta IDs.
Instagram notifications we have already received are kept for 7 days and then deleted by a daily clean-up, normally within 8 days. When you ask us to delete your whole EngageFlow account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as tax and accounting records.
2. Three ways to ask for deletion
- Disconnect in the dashboard. Sign in, open Settings → Instagram, click “Disconnect” and then “Confirm disconnect”. This removes every Instagram account linked to your EngageFlow account, and their Instagram data is deleted straight away.
- Remove the app in Instagram. In the Instagram app, open Settings & privacy → Apps and websites and remove EngageFlow AI. Meta tells us, and we delete that account's Instagram data automatically.
- Email us. To delete your whole EngageFlow account, or other data such as storefront orders, email support@engageflow.ai from your account's email address with the subject “Data deletion request”. We confirm by email and finish within 30 days.
3. Confirmation of a request sent through Meta
When Meta sends us a data deletion request on your behalf, we return a confirmation code and a link to a status page. The status page shows whether data was deleted or whether we held none for that account. Keep the confirmation code if you want to ask us about the request.
4. More information
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and why. Questions? Email support@engageflow.ai.
